The idea called Svasti was born out of simplicity and clarity. An idea that spoke of minimalism and a deep pause. In a world that's outpacing itself, Svasti decided to take a few steps back to understand the tenets of wellness, the core of the Svasti philosophy that drives everything else.

Three years ago, Svasti's tale became intertwined with the stories of two women, each standing at a pivotal crossroads in her life. Smitha Suri & Sujatha Suresh, seeking something deeper than conventional success chanced upon each other and their ideas blossomed into a brand.

For over a decade, while thriving in the fast-paced corporate world, Smitha quietly longed for balance and meaning in her life. A life that aligned with her values. Her personal passions—nurturing gardens, growing food, creating natural formulations, and embracing sustainability in everyday living—were pulling her elsewhere. When the world paused during COVID, Smitha found the clarity that had been eluding her. What emerged wasn't a career shift, but a calling: to create wellness products rooted in purity, simplicity and purpose.

At the same time Sujatha chose her own path of transformation. After leaving her corporate career, she pursued her Master's in Psychology and became an accredited counsellor. Her work in child and marriage counselling reflected her deep commitment to healing and human connection. Beyond her professional journey, Sujatha shared Smitha's devotion to mindful living- through food, recycling, creative repurposing and finding beauty in what others often overlooked.

Through countless conversations, reflections, trials and a deep mutual desire, the vision of SVASTI, a brand steeped in shared philosophies and camaraderie, was born. Rooted in sustainability and inspired by the wisdom of nature, Svasti creates products for the modern life using pure, natural ingredients that have long existed. It draws inspiration from a well of consciousness and knowledge that's passed on in countless family stories from different parts of India. From Ubtans, hair oils, face packs, and hair masks to gels and moisturisers, every formulation honours the tenets of homely minimalism. Each product is a humble reminder that everyday care can come from everyday things. That less is indeed more.
